​Crochet Crown for Young Princess

You’ll need:

100% cotton yarn of light-turquoise color (or any color you like);

Crochet hook 1,75;

Scissors.

Instructions

Measure the head circumference and make a chain of chain sts of the same length, the quantity of sts should be multipled 12. Connect by means of slip st.

1^st row: 1 double crochet in every st of the set-up chain;

2^nd row: *make arches of 8 chain sts, skip 5 double crochets of the lower row, 1 slip st in the 6^th crochet*; repeat from * to * to end of row;

3^rd row: *with the help of slip sts get to the third st of chain and make 3 chain sts, 1 double crochet in the same st, 3 chain sts, 2 double crochets together in the next st, 3 chain sts, 2 double crochets together*; repeat from * to * twice, totally, 4 times. After that, 3 chain sts, 1 slip st in the 3^rd chain st out of 5.

Continue with 3 chain sts and element of 4 pairs of double crochets under the arch of 8 chain sts. Continue this way to end of row;

4^th row: 1 chain st, 1 single crochet in every st of the previous row. Stop after single crochets of the second element. Then, 1 crochet under the chain between the pairs of crochets, 5 chain sts, 1 slip st in the 1^st out of 5 sts = picot of 5 sts. Make picot of 7 sts in the same way, then, again picot of 5 sts. You should get 3 picots: on 5 sts, 7 sts and 5 sts. Make 1 single crochet in the sts of the next element and work again due to the described scheme. Connect the row, tighten the final st and weave in the ends.
