Crochet Shawl with Schachenmayr Catania Fine Yarn


You’ll Need:
500g of cream Schachenmayr Catania Fine yarn (100% cotton; 165m; 50g);
Crochet hooks 2 and 2.5.
Size:
160 cm wide.
Stitches Control:
1 big square about 8 cm wide; 1 small square with 2 cm wide = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions:
Start with 4 chain stitches and circle them in the ring. This shawl consists of 4-row big squares, halves of these squares, and 1-row mini-squares and their halves.
Make 13 big squares, connecting sides with one another in the last row with the help of picot.
Then, fill in empty spaces between big squares with small squares, catching corner picots of big squares with the crochet hook.
Big Square:
Circle 2-3 chain stitches in the ring with half-crochet and 2 double crochets in the 3rd chain stitch to increase. Then, work according to the scheme.
Small Square:
Circle 2-3 chain stitches with half crochet and 1 double crochet in the 3rd chain stitch from the beginning of the circle. Then, work according to the scheme.
Make a diagonal with 1-2 rows of half crochets.
