Step-by-Step Guide to Crocheting a Beautiful Doily with Cotton Yarn

You’ll Need:

30g of 100% cotton yarn in white color (265m/50g);

Crochet hook 1.25-1.5.

Instructions

Make 6 chain stitches and circle them in the ring with 1 slip stitch for the central part. Replace the 1st single crochet with 1 chain stitch and make 17 single crochets around, finishing with 1 slip stitch in the 1st chain stitch.

Work according to the scheme to the 6th circle row, starting each circle row with chain stitches, the number of which is stated on the scheme, and finishing with 1 slip stitch. If necessary, make a slip stitch before beginning the next circle row.

Start near arrow A and make a stripe with straight and reversed rows around the central part. For this, make 9 chain stitches, 1 double crochet in the 4th-1st chain stitches, turn with the help of 5 chain stitches, and continue working. Connect with a picot of the 6th row according to the scheme using single crochet.

Connect near arrow B each time and fasten the spaces between the stripe and the central part with 1 circle row, starting with 5 chain stitches and finishing with 1 slip stitch in the 5th chain stitch.

Make the 2nd stripe, starting near arrow C, and connect with the arch of the 1st stripe using double crochet, as stated. Connect near arrow D and make the 7th and 8th circle rows around the whole doily. Only part of the doily is indicated on the scheme, and finish the circle row according to the ornament.
