How to Crochet a Beautiful Hat Using Carezza and Effetto Yarn

You’ll Need:

50g of dark-blue mélange Lana Grossa Carezza yarn (45% silk, 30% alpaca wool, 25% merino wool; 140m/50g);

100g of jeans-blue/grey-green-blue-black mélange Lana Grossa Effetto yarn (53% merino wool, 47% polyacryl; 35m/100g);

Crochet hook 5 and 9;

Tapestry needle.

Weaving pattern: chain st and single crochet with Carezza yarn. Work due to the scheme with straight and reversed rows. Start with sts from the 1st arrow, repeat 3 sts of pattern, finish with sts after the 2nd arrow. Make 1st-3rd rows x once, then, repeat 2nd-3rd rows. At first, work on chain st, make the 1st single crochet in the 3rd chain st from the crochet hook. For this, insert crochet hook in chain st, draw st, put Effetto yarn above working yarn, make yarn over and knit2tog. Then, work due to the scheme, make 2 chain sts and 1 single crochet with Effetto yarn.

Single crochets: work with circle rows. Make 1 chain st increase instead of the 1st single crochet for every circle row, finish with 1 slip st.

Stitches Control:

Instructions:

At first, crochet upper part of hat across, make seam in the middle of back. For this, make 27 chain sts with crochet hook 9 and work with weaving pattern. In 50 cm = 30 rows from the lower edge, finish your work.

Assembly:

Make seams. Then, catching Carezza yarn with needle tighten them – top of hat. Weave in ends. For placket with flap, work with single crochets along open edge with crochet hook 5 and Carezza yarn, make 62 single crochets in every circle row. In 8 cm = 15 circle rows from placket, finish your work. Turn placket on half RS.
