Crochet Hat Pattern with Flower Design

You’ll Need:

100g of mustard, khaki, marine to black shades sectional coloring yarn (55% wool, 45% polyacryl; 150m/100g);

Crochet hook 7.

Head Circumference:

52-56 cm.

Used Patterns

Main pattern: work around due to the scheme A. Start every row with chain stitch increase, finish with slip stitch in upper chain stitch increase.

Pattern for inner flower: work according to scheme B with straight and reversed rows. Start every row with 2 chain stitch increases, pattern repeat between arrows is stated on scheme B, and turn from row to row when working straight and reversed rows.

Pattern for outer flower: work around. Start every row with 2 chain stitch increases (instead of the 1st single crochet) and finish with a slip stitch in upper chain stitch increase. Make 5 chain stitches and circle them in the ring with a slip stitch.

Row Instructions for Outer Flower:

1st row: * 1 single crochet, 3 chain stitches*; repeat from * to * x 3 times;

2nd row: * 1 single crochet, 3 double crochets, 1 single crochet behind the arch of chain stitches of the previous row*; repeat from * to * x 3 times;

3rd row: 2 chain stitches (behind work), * 1 single crochet between 2nd and 3rd double crochets of the previous row behind arch of chain stitches of the 1st row, 5 chain stitches*; repeat from * to * x 3 times;

4th row: * 1 single crochet, 8 double crochets, 1 single crochet*; repeat from * to * x 3 times;

5th row: 4 chain stitches (behind work), * 1 single crochet between 4th and 5th double crochets of the previous row behind arches of chain stitches of the 3rd row, 5 chain stitches*; repeat from * to * x 3 times;

6th row: * 1 single crochet, 6 double crochets, and 1 single crochet behind arches of chain stitches of the previous row*; repeat from * to * x 7 times. Cut the yarn, weave in ends.

Stitches Control:

11.5 stitches 12 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Main pattern (7th-12th rows): 12 stitches x 5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Hat

Make 60 chain stitches and circle them in the ring, marking the place of turning from row to row. Make 1st-14th rows according to scheme A, then, cut the yarn and tighten all stitches. Fasten the end.

Inner Flower

Make 37 chain stitches + 2 chain stitch increase and make 2 rows according to scheme B. Cut the yarn, leave a long tail.

Assembly

Sew the inner flower into the outer flower.
