Rib Pattern
The quantity of sts is multiple 8 + 2 selvage sts.
RS Rows: 1 selvage st, * 2 purls, 4 knit sts, 2 purls*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvage st;
WS Rows: As sts face.
Circle Rows: The quantity of sts is multiple 8. * 2 purls, 4 knit sts, 2 purls*; repeat from * to *.
Main Pattern
The quantity of sts is multiple 8 + 2 selvage sts. Work according to the scheme, specifying RS and partially WS rows. Make unstated WS rows as sts face. Repeat the pattern between selvage sts. Make 1st-14th rows once, then repeat 3rd-14th rows.
Stitches Control
19 sts x 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Back
Cast on 90 (98) 106 sts and make 2.5 cm of rib. Then, work with the main pattern. At 27 cm = 60 rows from rib, cast on extra 12 sts from both sides for sleeves = 114 (122) 130 sts, including the increased sts in the pattern. At 43 cm = 96 rows (45 cm = 100 rows) 47 cm = 104 rows from rib, bind off the central 28 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2nd row from inwards. At 47 cm = 104 rows (49 cm = 108 rows) 51 cm = 112 rows from rib, bind off the rest 40 (44) 48 sts of shoulder/sleeve from each side.
Front
Make in the same way as back; however, for a deeper neck-hole, bind off the central 24 sts at 41 cm = 92 rows (43 cm = 96 rows) 45 cm = 100 rows from rib, then bind off 1 x 2 sts and 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row from inwards.
Assembly
Make shoulder and upper sleeve seams. Cast on 96 sts along the neck-hole with circular knitting needles and create a placket with rib in circular rows. At 2 cm height of the placket, bind off sts as they face. Cast on 38 (46) 54 sts along the edges of the sleeves and make plackets with rib, starting with 1 selvage st, * 4 purls, 4 knit sts*; repeat from * to *, 4 purls, 1 selvage st. At 2 cm height of the placket, bind off sts as they face. Make lower sleeve seams, including short sides of plackets, and also side seams.
