Instructions

Front

Cast on 124 (146) sts and work with the pattern of cables. In 37 cm = 122 rows (35 cm = 116 rows) from the set-up row, bind off 11 sts from both sides for arm-holes = 102 (124) sts. In 40 cm = 132 rows from the set-up row, divide the sts for the V-shape neck-hole in half and finish both sides separately. For the chamfer, decrease 22 x 1 st in every 2nd row from inwards in the following way: make the 6th and 5th sts from the end of the right side as purl2tog, from the left side, make the 5th and 6th sts as purl2tog. In 54 cm (= 178 rows) from the set-up row, bind off the outer 24 (35) sts of shoulder from each side and leave the rest 5 sts from both sides.

Back

Start in the same way as the front, but in 51 cm = 168 rows from the set-up row, bind off the central 24 sts for the round neck-hole and make 2 x 2 sts together as knit2tog in cables and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 24 (35) sts of shoulder from each side at the height of the front.

Sleeves

Cast on 52 (62) sts and work with the pattern with leaves. At the same time, increase 13 x 1 st in every 12th row from both sides for sleeve chamfers = 78 (88) sts, include the increased sts in the pattern. In 51.5 cm = 170 rows from the set-up row, bind off all sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. For the placket of back neck-hole, return the previously left 5 sts of front to work from each side and make 12 cm of stockinette stitch. Then, bind off the sts, sew the short sides of plackets and sew the placket to the back neck-hole. Fasten the neck-hole with 1 circle row of single crochets and 1 circle row of “shrimp stitch”. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
