Instructions

Back

Cast on 102 (114) sts and work with garter stitch. In 62.5 cm = 190 rows (66.5 cm = 202 rows) from the set-up row, bind off all the stitches.

Left Front

Cast on 53 (59) sts and make 0.5 cm = 2 rows of garter stitch for the placket. Then, work as follows: 1 selvage st, 35 (41) sts of relief pattern, 16 sts of garter stitch, 1 selvage st. Make the relief pattern with short rows; in 3.5 cm = 9 rows from the placket, make the first 17 sts of placket in the next WS row according to the pattern (1 selvage st + 16 sts of garter stitch), turn your work, 1 yarn over and work in reversed order. Make the next WS row according to the pattern on all 53 (59) sts, making a yarn over together with the next st as knit2tog. In 62.5 cm = 190 rows (66.5 cm = 202 rows) from the set-up row, bind off 36 (42) sts from the right side. Make 10 cm according to the pattern on the remaining 17 sts for neck-hole and leave those sts.

Right Front

Work symmetrically, but use short rows in 8 rows of the placket, starting with the next RS row.

Sleeves

Cast on 67 (73) sts and make 0.5 cm of garter stitch. Then, work with the relief pattern between selvage sts. In 10 cm = 26 rows from the set-up row, switch to garter stitch. In 45 cm from the set-up row, bind off all the sts as knit sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams, sew plackets with kitchener’s stitch, and attach to neck-hole. Sew up the sleeves and make side and sleeve seams. For the belt, cast on 12 sts and work with garter stitch. In 130 (140) cm from the set-up row, bind off the sts as knit sts.
