How to Crochet a Dress and Bolero Set

You’ll Need:

300g of dress yarn and 200g for the bolero of 100% cotton yarn (400m/100g) in turquoise color;

Crochet hook 2.5;

Hidden zipper 12 cm long.

Size: S/M.

Instructions

Dress

Start your work with the corsage. For one part, make 38 chain stitches and work with double crochets for 13 rows. Then, divide your work in half and work only on 19 stitches for 11 rows.

Relief Insert

Work from down to up. Make 162 chain stitches and work with a relief pattern according to scheme 1 for 17 rows. Fold the detail in half, with the cut coming from the left side.

Front of Skirt

Work from the lower edge of the front part of the relief insert with double crochets, increasing 10 double crochets in the 1^st row to total 91 stitches. For side chamfers, increase 1 stitch in every 2^nd row from both sides. Finish your work at 40 cm length of skirt (or any desired length).

Back of Skirt

Make in symmetry to the front.

Assembly

Sew the corsage to the upper edge of the relief insert. Sew the hidden zipper. Make the side seams of the skirt. Fasten the bottom of the skirt according to scheme 2. Fasten the corsage with single crochets, make straps of 140 chain stitches, and fasten them with 1 row of single crochets.

Bolero

Back

Make 96 chain stitches and work with the relief pattern according to scheme 3. For side chamfers, increase 2 double crochets in every 2^nd row from both sides. At 19 cm height from the set-up row, crochet straight for 16 cm and finish your work.

Front

Make 47 chain stitches and work with the relief pattern according to scheme 3. Make all the increases and decreases, matching with the pattern design. Make the other half of the front in symmetry.

Sleeves

Make shoulder seams. Make 1 row of single crochets along the edge of the armhole (width of armhole is 32 cm – 16 cm from each side) and then work according to scheme 3. Make decreases along the edges of sleeve chamfers according to the pattern design.

Assembly

Make sleeve and side seams. Fasten the neck-hole, edges of the front, bottom of work, and sleeves with 1 row of single crochets. For straps, make 2 chains of 15 cm long and attach them at the edges of the front.
