Knitting Instructions for Your Stylish Garment Using Cotofine Yarn

You’ll Need:
650 (750)g of bright-blue Cotofine yarn (70% cotton, 30% polyamide; 90m/50g);
Knitting needles 6.5;
Crochet hook 5.5.
Size:
M (L).
Used Patterns:
Wrong-side pattern: in WS row – purls, in RS row – knit sts.
Relief pattern with cables: the quantity of sts is multiple 13 + 2 selvage sts.
Work due to the scheme, on which both RS and WS rows are stated. Repeat 1st-10th rows between selvage sts.
Stitches Control:
13 sts x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions:
Back:
Cast on 67 (80) sts and make 1 cm = 2 rows of wrong-side pattern for placket. Then, work with relief pattern with cables. In 60 cm = 150 rows from placket, bind off all sts; the central 39 (40) sts form the neck-hole, and outer 14 (20) sts from each side form the shoulders.
Front:
Make in the same way as back, but bind off the central 27 (28) sts in 55 cm = 138 rows from placket and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 2 sts and 4 x 1 st in every 2nd row from inwards. Bind off the rest 14 (20) sts of shoulder from each side at the height of the back.
Sleeves:
Cast on 41 sts and make placket in the same way as for back. Then, work with relief pattern with cables. In 24 cm = 60 rows (16 cm = 40 rows) from placket, increase 1 st from both sides for sleeve chamfers and bind off 3 x 1 st in every 8th row (9 x 1 st in every 4th and 6th rows) = 49 (61) sts; include the increased sts in pattern repeat. In 38.5 cm = 96 rows from placket, bind off all sts of placket.
Assembly:
Make shoulder seams. Fasten the neck-hole with 1 circle row of single crochets and “shrimp stitch.” Sew up the sleeves, and make side and sleeve seams.
