Knitting needles 3.5;

Circular knitting needles 3.

Used Patterns:

Rib Pattern:

* 1 purl, 2 knit sts, 1 purl*; repeat from * to *;

Relief Pattern:

The quantity of sts is multiple of 10 + 4 + 2 selvage sts.

Work according to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows as they face, yarn overs – as purls. Repeat the pattern, finishing with sts after the pattern repeat. Repeat 1st-8th rows.

Special Decreases:

From the right side: make the 2nd and 3rd sts together as broaching; from the left side: make the 3rd and 2nd sts from end together as knit2tog.

Stitches Control:

23.5 sts x 32 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions:

Back:

Cast on 126 (134) 146 sts and make 2 cm of rib for the placket and work with the relief pattern, increasing 0 (2) 0 sts in the 1st row = 126 (136) 146 sts. In 48 (50) 52 cm from the placket, make purl2tog inside the pattern for the yoke = 114 (123) 132 sts. In 53 (55) 57 cm from the placket, bind off 1 x 4 sts from both sides for arm-holes and 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts, and 3 (2) 1 x 1 st in every 2nd row = 86 (97) 108 sts. In 18 (19) 20 cm from the beginning of work, bind off the central 36 (37) 36 sts for the neck-hole and then continue work separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 3 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row from inwards. In 2 cm from the beginning of the neck-hole, bind off the rest 20 (25) 31 sts of shoulder.

Front:

Make in the same way, but with a V-shape neck-hole. For this, bind off the central 2 (3) 2 sts with the beginning of the arm-hole and continue work separately. For chamfer, make special decreases x 14 times in every 2nd row and 8 times in every 4th row. Bind off the rest sts of shoulder at the height of the back.

Sleeves:

Cast on 86 (86) 94 sts and make 2 cm of rib for placket, then work with the relief pattern, increasing 0 (0) 2 sts in the 1st row = 86 (86) 96 sts. In 16 cm from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 4 sts for sleeve caps and 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts, 3 x 1 st in every 2nd row. In 14 cm = 44 rows from the beginning of the sleeve cap, bind off the rest 32 (32) 42 sts.

Assembly:

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 131 sts along the neck-hole with circular knitting needles and work with rib for placket, in order to make 2 knit sts, 1 central knit st, and 2 knit sts. Slip the central st in every 2nd row together with the previous st, make the next st as knit st and draw it through both slipped sts.
