Garter Stitch:
knit stitches;
Stockinette Stitch:
In RS row – knit stitches, in WS row – purls;
Relief Stripe Pattern:
95 (103) 11 stitches wide: due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows according to the pattern, with yarn overs as purls. Start with 1 selvage stitch and stitches before pattern repeat A, pattern repeat A x 7 (8) 9 times, repeat stockinette stitch between pattern A and pattern B x once, repeat pattern B x 7 (8) 9 times, finish with stitches after pattern repeat B and 1 selvage stitch. Repeat 1st-20th rows on the central 21 stitches = 60 rows and repeat 61st and 62nd rows x once, then repeat 13th-20th rows x 5 times and 61st and 62nd rows x once.
Central pattern 31 stitches wide: make in the same way according to the scheme from the red line. Repeat 63rd-82nd rows.
Stitches Control:
Relief stripe: 21 stitches x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
Stockinette stitch: 17.5 stitches x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
Central pattern: 31 stitches = 14 cm wide.
Instructions
Back/Front:
Cast on 95 (103) 111 stitches with knitting needles 4.5 and make 1 WS row of knit stitches. Don’t take this row into account. Then, work with relief stripe and knitting needles 5. In 24 cm = 62 rows from the set-up row, work in the following way: 1 selvage stitch, 31 (35) 39 stitches of stockinette stitch, 31 stitches of the central pattern, 31 (35) 39 stitches of stockinette stitch, 1 selvage stitch. In 40 cm = 104 rows (38.5 cm = 100 rows) and 37 cm = 96 rows from the set-up row, bind off 3 stitches from both sides for arm-holes and 1 x 2 stitches and 5 x 1 stitch in every 2nd row = 75 (83) 91 stitches. In 60 cm = 156 rows from the set-up row, bind off 7 (9) 11 stitches from both sides for shoulder chamfers and 1 x 7 (9) 11 stitches in the next 2nd row. In 61.5 cm = 160 rows from the set-up row, leave the remaining 47 stitches.
Sleeves:
Cast on 51 (51) 57 stitches with knitting needles 4.5 and make 1 WS row of knit stitches. Then, change to knitting needles 5 and work in the following way: 1 selvage stitch, 9 (9) 12 stitches of stockinette stitch, 31 stitches of the central pattern, 9 (9) 12 stitches of stockinette stitch, 1 selvage stitch. Repeat 81st and 82nd rows x once, then, repeat 63rd-82nd rows. At the same time from the set-up row, increase 5 x 1 stitch in every 12th row from both sides for sleeve chamfers and 5 x 1 stitch in every 10th row (4 x 1 stitch in every 10th row and 9 x 1 stitch in every 8th row) = 71 (77) 83 stitches. In 46 cm = 120 rows from the set-up row, bind off 3 (4) 4 stitches for sleeve caps and 2 x 2 stitches, 12 x 1 stitch, 2 x 2 stitches and 1 x 3 (4) 5 stitches in every 2nd row. In 60 cm = 156 rows from the set-up row, bind off the remaining 19 (21) 25 stitches.
Assembly
Make shoulder seams; transfer the previously left 47 stitches of back and front to a circular knitting needle and repeat the pattern on front and back.
