You’ll Need

200g of 100% cotton yarn in sandy and cream colors each;

80g of the same yarn, but in red color;

Crochet hook 3.5 mm.

16 sts = 10 cm.

Work in 2 threads of yarn.

Instructions

Back

Make 81 chain sts with red yarn and work according to scheme 1, alternating the colors of yarn as follows: * 2 red rows, 2 sandy rows, 2 cream rows*; repeat from * to * twice. Then, alternate 2 sandy rows and 2 cream rows 4 times, repeat from * twice, and continue with 2 sandy rows and 2 cream rows to the end of the row. At 39 cm height, bind off 4 sts for arm-holes from both sides = 73 sts and work straight. At 61 cm height, after getting 16 sts for each shoulder and 41 sts for neck-hole, finish your work.

Front

Make in the same way as the back. At 49 cm height from the beginning of work, bind off the central 27 sts for the neck-hole and bind off 7 x 1 st in every row from both sides = 16 sts for each shoulder. At 61 cm height, finish your work.

Sleeves

Make 47 chain sts with red yarn and work according to scheme 1, alternating the colors of yarn as follows: from * x once, then alternate 2 rows of sandy yarn and 2 rows of cream yarn to the end of work. At the same time, increase 3 x 1 st in every 4th row = 53 sts. At 31 cm height, make the sleeve cap according to scheme 2 and cut the yarn. The total height is about 38 cm.

Assembly

Make all the seams and sew up the sleeves. Fasten the neck-hole with 2 rows of single crochets using sandy yarn, circling every row with slip stitch.
