Leaves Pattern:

The quantity of sts is multiple 19 + 6 + 2 selvage sts. Work according to the scheme, where both RS and WS rows are stated. Start with sts before pattern repeat, repeat the pattern x 3 times, finishing with sts after pattern repeat, with the first and last sts being selvage sts. Repeat 1^st-40^th rows x once, then, repeat 9^th-24^th rows, increasing sts before and after 3 pattern repeats: 1 cross purl.

Colors Order:

34 white rows, 16 rows with double yarn (1 white and 1 pink), 16 pink rows (in 2 threads of yarn), 16 rows with double yarn (1 pink and 1 lilac), 16 lilac rows in 2 threads of yarn, 16 rows with double yarn (1 lilac and 1 grey) = a total of 114 rows.

Stitches:

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;

Rib, circle rows: 1 knit st, 1 purl.

Stitches Control:

18 sts x 21 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back:

Cast on 84 sts and work with the pattern with leaves. For better fitting, decrease 9 x 1 st in every 4^th row from both sides = 66 sts. In 20.5 cm = 44 rows, increase 1 st from both sides for side chamfers and 6 x 1 st in every 4^th row = 80 sts. In 35 cm = 74 rows from the set-up row, bind off 3 sts from both sides for arm-holes and 2 x 2 sts, 1 x 1 st in every 2^nd row = 64 sts. In 54.5 cm = 114 rows from the set-up row, bind off all the sts, with the central 36 sts forming the neck-hole and outer 14 sts from each side forming the shoulders.

Front:

Make in the same way as the back, but with a neck-hole. For this, in 50.5 cm = 106 rows from the set-up row, bind off the central 24 sts and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 3 sts and 1 x 1 st in every 2^nd row from inwards.

Sleeves:

Cast on 48 sts and divide the sts as follows: 1 selvage st, 4 sts of stockinette stitch, 38 sts of leaves pattern, starting with the 9^th row, pattern repeat x twice, 4 sts of stockinette stitch, 1 selvage st. Initially, make 24 rows with white yarn. In 7.5 cm = 16 rows from the set-up row, increase 1 st from both sides for sleeve chamfers and 4 x 1 st in every 10^th row = 58 sts, including the increased sts in stockinette stitch and in the pattern over 56 rows. In 38 cm = 80 rows from the set-up row, bind off 4 sts from both sides for sleeve caps and 2 x 2 sts, 5 x 1 st, 1 x 3 sts, and 1 x 4 sts in every 2^nd row. In 47.5 cm = 100 rows from the set-up row, bind off the remaining 20 sts.

Assembly:

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 68 sts along the neck-hole and make 2 cm of rib, then bind off the sts according to the pattern. Sew up the sleeves and make side and sleeve seams.
