Knitting Instructions for a Stylish Garment with White Gracia Yarn

You’ll Need:

200g of white Gracia yarn (70% cotton, 17% viscose, 13% polyamide; 115m/50g);

150g of the same yarn, but in lilac color;

100g of the same yarn, but in green, cyclamine, blue, and bright-pink colors (each);

Straight knitting needles 4.5;

Circle knitting needles 4.

Used Patterns

Garter Stitch:

All knit stitches.

Wavy Pattern A:

Due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows and yarn overs as purls. Repeat the pattern between selvage stitches. The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 15 + 2 selvage stitches. Repeat 1^st and 2^nd rows;

Wavy Pattern B:

Due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows and yarn overs as purls. Repeat the pattern between selvage stitches. The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 13 + 2 selvage stitches. Repeat 5^th and 6^th rows;

White Stripe of 4 Rows:

• 1^st and 2^nd rows: knit;
• 3^rd row: purl;
• 4^th row: knit.

Patterns and Colors Order A:

14 rows of wavy pattern A in lilac, 4 rows of white stripe, 14 rows of wavy pattern A in green, 4 rows of white stripe = 36 rows.

Patterns and Colors Order B:

14 rows of wavy pattern B in cyclamine, 4 rows of white stripe, 14 rows of wavy pattern B in blue, 4 rows of white stripe, 14 rows of wavy pattern B in bright-pink, 4 rows of white stripe, 14 rows of wavy pattern B in lilac, 4 rows of white stripe = 72 rows.

Colors Order C:

* 6 green rows, 2 white rows, 6 cyclamine rows, 2 white rows, 6 blue rows, 2 white rows, 6 bright-pink rows, 2 white rows, 6 lilac rows, 2 white rows*; repeat from * to *.

Patterns and Colors Order D:

14 rows of wavy pattern B in lilac, 4 rows of white stripe, 14 rows of wavy pattern B in green, 4 rows of white stripe, 14 rows of wavy pattern B in cyclamine, 4 rows of white stripe, 14 rows of wavy pattern B in blue, 4 rows of white stripe, 14 rows of wavy pattern B in bright-pink, 4 rows of white stripe, 14 rows of wavy pattern B in lilac = 104 rows.

Stockinette Stitch:

In RS rows – knit stitches, in WS rows – purls.

Stitches Control:

23.5 stitches x 26.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back:

Cast on 122 stitches and make 1.5 cm = 4 rows of garter stitch for placket. Then, work according to patterns order A. In 13.5 cm = 36 rows from the placket, work according to patterns order B, make decreases in the 1^st row = 106 stitches. In 41 cm = 108 rows from the placket, work with wavy pattern B according to colors order C. In 52 cm = 138 rows from the placket, bind off 13 stitches from both sides for armholes = 80 stitches. In 62 cm = 164 rows from the placket, divide your work in half and cast on 1 selvage stitch from both sides inwards. In 68 cm = 180 rows from the placket, bind off 41 stitches of shoulder from both sides.

Left Front:

Cast on 62 stitches with white yarn and make placket in the same way as for back. Then, work in the same orders as in back. After the 37^th row, there are 54 stitches in work. Make armhole from the right side in the same way as for back = 41 stitches. Bind off all the stitches at the height of back.

Right Front:

Make in symmetry to the left.

Sleeves:

Cast on 67 stitches with white yarn and make placket in the same way as for back. Then, work according to patterns and colors order D. In 27 cm = 72 rows from the placket, increase 1 stitch from both sides for sleeve chamfers and 3 x 1 stitch of stockinette stitch in every 6^th row = 75 stitches. In 39.5 cm = 104 rows from the placket, bind off all the stitches.

Assembly:

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 28 stitches with circle knitting needles and white yarn along the back neck-hole, 142 stitches along the straight ends of front and make 2 cm = 6 rows of stockinette stitch on all 312 stitches, then, bind off all the stitches.

Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
