You’ll Need

#4 medium weight yarn: Approximately 4 oz (114 g) / 250 yds (228 m)

Knitting needles 3.75 mm and 4.5 mm;

Suede palm and thumb set;

Stitch Markers;

Stitch Holders;

Yarn Needle.

Stitches Control

20 sts = 10 cm in stockinette stitch using larger needles.

Notes

Instructions are given for solid color mittens.

To make striped mittens as shown, change colors every four rows.

Mittens for both hands are knit the same.

Three basic sizes are given to fit children, women, and men. To adjust for intermediate sizes, change length as desired or use a larger or smaller needle size to change gauge. A slightly larger mitten will be more comfortable but takes more body heat to keep warm.
