How to Crochet Slippers: A Step-by-Step Guide

You’ll Need:

Anchor Magicline yarn (100% cotton; 70m/50g):

• 200g of lilac Coats Lyric yarn (100% cotton, 150m/50g);
• 50g of the same yarn, but in blue color;
• 100g of the same yarn, but in light-lilac color;
• Crochet hook 3.5-4;
• 6 beads;
• Latex glue for sole.

Stitches Control:

18 single crochets = 10 cm.

Instructions

Sole

Make 6 chain sts + 1 chain st increase with lilac yarn.

1^st row: 1 single crochet in every st;

2^nd row: single crochets, make 2 single crochets in the last st (increase).

Continue work forward-backward, increase 1 st at the end of the 17^th, 21^st, 23^rd, 25^th, and 27^th rows. Continue work with these 12 sts. Then, decrease 1 st at the beginning of the 36^th row. Make such decreases in 38^th to 42^nd rows. Then, fasten the sole with single crochets. Make 2 increases in the places of toes and heel from both sides = 100 sts. Make 2 rows and increase sts 3 times in every row at the place of toes and heel = 112 sts. Cut the yarn and make the second sole in reflection to the first sole. Then, make one more pair of soles with 2 threads of blue yarn for outer soles. Sew the soles in the last row as follows: single crochets through both soles, making increases on heel and toes.

Side

Make 111 chain sts with lilac yarn and circle them in a ring. Make 4 rows of single crochets, starting every row with 1 chain st.

5^th row: single crochets and work with the 35^th + 36^th sts, 41^st and 42^nd sts, and 47^th and 48^th together. Then, make 3 single crochets, 1 half crochet + 1 crochet together, 2 crochets together, 1 single crochet, 2 single crochets together, 1 half crochet together, 3 single crochets, 64^th and 65^th sts together, 70^th and 71^st sts together. Crochet the remaining sts of the row. Decrease 3 sts from both sides and 4 sts in toes;

6^th row: single crochets, making the 32^nd and 33^rd sts together, 38^th and 39^th sts together, and 43^rd and 44^th sts together. Then, make 2 single crochets, 1 single crochet + 1 half crochet together. Then, 2 single crochets together, 1 single crochet, 2 single crochets together, 1 half crochet and 1 single crochet together, 2 single crochets together, 58^th and 59^th sts together, 63^rd and 64^th sts together, and 69^th and 70^th sts together. Crochet the last sts of the row;

7^th-16^th rows: single crochets and make decreases of toe in the same way as in the 6^th row (don’t make side decreases);

17^th row: single crochets, make 1 single crochet + 1 crochet + 1 single crochet together in the toe;

18^th-21^st rows: 49 single crochets;

22^nd-27^th rows: single crochets with 2 threads of blue yarn from WS. Join the end to the sole. Make the second side in the same way.

Flower

Work due to scheme A in 2 threads of lilac yarn and work due to scheme B in 2 threads of blue yarn. Put one flower upon another one. Sew beads in the center. Sew flowers to slippers.
