Materials

For this project, you will need the following materials:

• Few yards of worsted weight crochet cotton in at least 2 colors
• I used a variegated yarn for the main color and a solid for contrast
• G hook

Crochet Pattern Instructions

Starting the Coaster

Ch 4.

Row 1: 4 dc in 4^th ch from hook. Ch 2 and turn. (Ch 3 of ch 4 counts as 1 dc.)

Building the Base

Row 2: 2 hdc in 1^st dc, 1 hdc in each of next 3 dc, 2 hdc in top of ch 4. Ch 3 and turn.

Row 3: 2 dc in 1^st hdc, dc in each of next 5 hdc, 2 dc in top of previous ch 3. Ch 1 and turn.

Row 4: Sc in each dc across. Ch 1 and turn. (Do not sc in top of ch 3)

Continuing the Coaster

Row 5 - 8: Sc in each sc across. Ch 1 and turn. (At end of Row 8, do ch 2 instead)

Row 9: hdc next 2 sc together, hdc across to last 2 sts, hdc last 2 sts tog. Ch 2 and turn.

Row 10: Hdc next 2 sts tog, hdc across to last 2 sts, hdc last 2 sts tog. Ch 2 and turn.

Row 11: Sc last 3 sts tog. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Adding the Bow

To finish the coaster, Ch 30 and fasten off. Tie a bow to the top of the coaster and trim the ends.
