Finishing & Assembly
Use a tapestry needle to sew the ears to the top of the head. If desired, embroider a small face (eyes, nose, whiskers) using contrasting yarn. Lightly stuff the head with fiberfill if you want a slightly firmer shape before closing. Tuck and secure all ends inside the head so nothing shows.
Slip the finished bunny over an egg to use as a cozy. For extra security you can stitch the base of the head to a small crocheted or fabric band that fits around the egg, or simply place it over decorative or hard-boiled eggs for display.
Notes & Tips
- Use stitch markers to mark the end of every round to make increases and decreases easier.
- Adjust hook size or yarn weight to change the finished size — a smaller hook yields a tighter fabric.
- Experiment with color combinations (solid, speckled, or pastel) for a festive look.
- These make quick gifts or place-setting decorations — consider attaching a small ribbon loop for hanging.
