Materials Needed
I used:
- Yarn: Bernat Mosaic, Medium 4. Colours: Budgie & Medusa.
- Scrap pieces of red yarn (Medium 4).
- 4.5 mm hook
- Round marker
- Darning needle

Tree measures approximately 5 1/2 inches tall and 3 1/4 inches wide.
Instructions
Using Budgie Yarn
Rnd 1: Slip knot. Ch 2. 8 hdc in slip knot. (8 hdc)
Rnd 2: Hdc to join(mnr). Hdc in same st. 2 hdc in each st around. (16 hdc)
Rnd 3: Ss to join. (mnr). *(dc, 2 hdc) all in next st, Ss in next st.* Repeat from * to * 6 times.
Ss in next st to join Medusa yarn.
Continuing the Motif
Ch 10. Hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc in next 5 chs, sc in next 2 ch's ss in same st as your colour change. Turn. Ss in next 3 sts (on trunk). Ch 3, Ss in same st as rnd marker in tree top. Ss in next st (in green part). Turn. Now working along trunk (back side will face you). Ss in next 2 sts, Ss in corner st, ss in next 2 sts, sc in next st, hdc in next st, dc in last st. Fasten Off.
Finishing Touches
Using scrap red yarn and a darning needle, randomly and carefully sew in little apples. Hide knots and ends to the back side of the tree.
