You’ll need:

200g of turquoise 100% acryl yarn (308m/100g);

100g of the same yarn, but in brown color;

Knitting needles 3;

5 buttons.

2 x 2 rib;

Main pattern: due to the scheme;

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls.

Stitches control: 22 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 92 sts with brown yarn and make 10 cm of 2 x 2 rib. Then, work in the following way: *8 cm (= 4 pattern repeats) of main pattern with turquoise yarn, 3 rows of stockinette stitch with brown yarn*; repeat from *to *. At 38,5 cm height from the beginning of work, bind off 1 x 5 sts, 1 x 2 sts and 3 x 1 st from both sides for arm-holes = 72 sts. Then, knit straight. At 17 cm height, bind off the central 26 sts for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 5 sts from inwards. At 18 cm height, bind off the rest 18 sts of shoulder. Make the second half in symmetry to the first.

Right Front

Cast on 44 sts with brown yarn and make 10 cm of 2 x 2 rib. Then, work with patterns alternation in the same way, as for back. At 38,5 cm height from the beginning of work, bind off 1 x 5 sts, 1 x 2 sts, 3 x 1 st for the arm-hole from the left side. At the same time, with the beginning of making arm-hole from the right side, start making neck-hole chamfer. For this, decrease 16 x 1 st in every RS row. At 18 cm height of arm-hole, bind off the rest 18 sts of shoulder.

Left Front

Make in symmetry to the right front.

Sleeves

Cast on 66 sts with brown yarn and make 10 cm of 2 x 2 rib. Then, work with patterns alternation in the same way, as for back. Don’t make increases for sleeve chamfers. At 29 cm height from the beginning of work, bind off 1 x 5 sts and 23 x 1 st from both sides for sleeve caps. Bind off the rest 20 sts of sleeve.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. For placket, cast on 244 sts along the edges of front and neck-hole line with brown yarn and work with 1 x 1 rib. Make 5 loops for buttons in the 5^th row of the right front. For this, bind off 4^th-5^th, 17^th-18^th, 30^th-31^st, 43^rd-44^th and 56^th-57^th sts and finish the row. Cast on the new 2 sts in the place of bound off sts in the next row. Make side and sleeve seams. Sew buttons.
