​Beach Tunic with Vertical Pattern​

You'll need:

400; 450 g of yarn with at least 45% cotton (145m/50g);

Straight knitting needles 4,5 and 5;

Circle knitting needles 4,5.

Size: S/M;L/XL.

Chest circumference: 88;108 cm.

Length: 80;82 cm.

Used Patterns

Relief 1 (A1): make due to the scheme. In wrong-side rows - all purls. Repeat 1st-4th rows;

Relief 2 (A2): make due to the scheme. In wrong-side rows - all purls. Repeat 1st-20th rows twice, 21st-38th rows once, 39th-54th rows twice, 55th-68th rows once, 69th-80th rows twice, 81st-90th rows once, 91st-98th row to the end.

Stitches control: 19 sts x 27 rows = 10сm x 10сm.

Back

Cast on 39; 58 sts and allocate them in the following way: 1 selvedge st, * 4 sts of A1, 15 sts of A2*; repeat from * to * 6; 7 times.

Finish with 4st A1, 1 selvedge st. Continue this way to 91st row. Totaly, 97; 110 sts.

In 60 cm from bottom part bind off 3 sts x 1, 2 sts x 2 in all the even rows and decrease 1 st x 8. Then, decrease 1 st x 2 in every 4th row. Totaly, 63; 76 sts. Bind off 29; 34 central sts for arm-holes at 16; 18 cm from bottom part and 3 sts x 1, 2 sts x 1, 1 st x 1 from both sides in even rows. Bind off the rest 11; 15 sts at 20; 22 cm from bottom part for the arm-holes.

Front

Make in the same way, as back. The only difference - deeper neck-hole. For this, bind off 17; 22 central sts at 71; 73 cm from bottom part and 3 sts x 1, 2 sts x 3, 1 st x 3 from both sides in even rows. Then, decrease 1 st x 2 in every 4th row. Finish shoulder at height of back.

Assembly

Make seams. Lift 117; 127 sts (front - 67; 72 sts, back - 50; 55 sts) along the neck-hole with circle knitting needles and make 1 row of purls. Bind off all the sts as purls. Lift 78; 82 sts at arm-holes and make 1 row of purls. Bind off the sts as purls.
