Baby Crochet Hat Pattern: Step-by-Step Instructions

You’ll Need:
50g of pink Island yarn (100% cotton; 125m/50g);
50g of the same yarn, but in white color;
Crochet hook size 3.
Size:
3-4 months.
Instructions
Make 4 chain stitches with pink yarn, make a slip stitch in the 1st chain stitch to increase, and circle them into a ring. Then, make 1 chain stitch:
Row Breakdown:
1st row: Use white yarn to make 12 half-crochets in the ring;
2nd row: Use pink yarn: double the quantity of half crochets, making 2 half crochets from every half crochet = 24 stitches;
3rd row: Use white yarn: 1 half crochet, 2 half crochets from 1 half crochet = 36 stitches;
4th row: Use pink yarn: 2 half crochets, 2 half crochets from 1 half crochet = 48 stitches;
5th-13th rows: Work double crochets, inserting the crochet hook between double crochets of the previous row, alternating 1 white row and 1 pink row = 48 stitches;
14th row: Work with the “crab stitch” on the wrong side with pink yarn. Finish your work.
Finishing Touches
Make 1 flower of each color and sew them onto the hat.
