Knit a Stylish Hat with Nako Arctic Yarn

You’ll Need:

1 skein of Nako Arctic yarn N 6070 (100m/100g);

Knitting needles 5.5.

Head Circumference:

56-58 cm.

Height:

28 cm.

Instructions

Cast on 36 sts with knitting needles 5.5 and make 2 rows of garter stitch. Don’t forget that the first and last sts of the row are selvage sts, i.e., always slip the first st without knitting and make the last st as purl.

Then, work with shortened rows (it’s better to use circular knitting needles):

Row Instructions:

3^rd row: 1 selvage st, 29 knit sts, leave 6 sts without knitting on the left needle. Turn;

4^th and all the even rows: knit;

5^th row: 1 selvage st, 29 knit sts, leave 5 sts without knitting on the left needle;

7^th row: 1 selvage st, 29 knit sts, leave 4 sts without knitting on the left needle;

9^th row: 1 selvage st, 29 knit sts, leave 3 sts without knitting on the left needle;

11^th row: 1 selvage st, 29 knit sts, leave 2 sts without knitting on the left needle;

13^th row: 1 selvage st, 29 knit sts, leave 1 st without knitting on the left needle;

15^th row: knit.

You’ve made the first gusset. Make 8 pieces, i.e., repeat rows 3^rd to 15^th a total of 7 times. Start the 17^th row from the 3^rd row.

After you have made 8 gussets, make 2 rows of garter stitch, bind off the sts, and sew the hat.
