How to Knit a Rectangular Piece with Black Schachenmayr Favorito Yarn

You’ll Need:

350g of black Schachenmayr original Favorito (41% cotton, 34% polyacryl, 25% polyamide);

Circular knitting needles size 4 (80 cm long).

Size:

45 х 90 cm.

Used Patterns

Shells pattern: the quantity of stitches is multiple of 5 + 2 selvage stitches. Start and finish every row with 1 selvage stitch, 1 knit stitch;

Pattern Rows Instructions:

• 2^nd row: *1 yarn over, 5 purls*; repeat from * to *;
• 3^rd row: *5 knit stitches, 4 stitches from yarn over*; repeat from * to *;
• 4^th row: *4 purls, purl 5 together*; repeat from * to *;
• 5^th row: knit;
• 6^th row: 4 purls, *1 yarn over, 5 purls*; repeat from * to *, 1 yarn over, 1 purl;
• 7^th row: 1 knit stitch, *4 knit stitches from yarn over, 5 knit stitches*; repeat from * to *, finish with 4 knit stitches;
• 8^th row: purl 4 together, *4 purls, purl 5 together*; repeat from * to *, 4 purls, make the last stitch of the pattern with a selvage stitch together with purl.

Stitches Control:

15 stitches x 16 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Make 2 rectangles of shells pattern, casting on 65 stitches + 2 selvage stitches. Repeat rows 1-8 a total of 18 times. Cut the yarn. Fold the rectangles inwards and sew the long sides to a length of 20 cm. Fasten off.
