Instructions

Back

Start with the right seam; cast on 62 (67) sts with knitting needles, make 1 WS row of knit sts (don’t count this row). Work as follows: 1 selvage st, last 6 (7) sts in honeycomb pattern, 8 sts of cable, 14 (16) sts of beads pattern, 8 sts of cable, 24 (26) sts of rhombs pattern, starting from the 3rd (23rd) row, and finish with 1 selvage st. For the arm-hole, bind off 4 x 1 st, 3 x 2 sts, and 1 x 4 (5) sts in every 2nd row from the right side, then cast on extra 44 (47) sts. Increase the first 14 (15) sts in honeycomb pattern; the remaining sts will be 8 sts of cable, 24 (26) sts of rhombs pattern. Following this, replicate the 1st row of rhombs pattern, then 8 sts of cable, 4 (5) sts of wrong-side pattern, followed by 1 selvage st, totaling 120 (129) sts. In 22 cm = 66 rows (24.5 cm = 74 rows) from the set-up row, bind off 16 (18) sts from the right side for the cut and cast them all on again in the next row to form the center of the back. Symmetrically finish the back with respect to the first half. Finally, in 44.5 cm = 134 rows (50 cm = 150 rows) from the set-up row, bind off the remaining 62 (67) sts.

Left Front

Work similarly to the back, but bind off the sts in 22 cm = 66 rows (24.5 cm = 74 rows) from the set-up row.

Right Front

Work in symmetry to the left front.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams; cast on 90 (98) sts along the arm-hole with circular knitting needles and create a 1.5 cm placket with garter stitch, starting with a WS row and then binding off all sts as knit sts. Proceed to make the side seams. Cast on 40 (44) sts along the lower edges of both halves of the front with circular knitting needles and create 16 cm of ribbing on all 160 (176) sts, binding off according to the ornament. Cast on 140 (152) sts along the front and neck-hole, and create a placket similarly to the arm-holes. Finally, make 4 button-loops on the lower 16 cm of the right front placket and sew on the buttons.
