Knitting Instructions for a Stylish Garment with Fur Collar and Pockets

You’ll Need:

500g of mélange Fantasia yarn (50% wool, 50% acrylic; 160m/100g);

Knitting needles size 4;

Crochet hook;

Fur collar.

Used Patterns:

Garter Stitch:

Knit stitches.

Stockinette Stitch:

In RS row – knit stitches, in WS row – purls.

Instructions:

Back:

Cast on 84 stitches and make 2 rows of garter stitch.

After that, work with stockinette stitch. For forming side chamfers, decrease 3 x 1 stitch from both sides in every 24 rows. At 70 cm height, bind off 1 x 2 stitches and 3 x 1 stitch from both sides in every row, then, bind off 2 x 1 stitch in every 2nd row. After that, knit straight for 18 cm. Then, bind off the central 17 stitches for the neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 2 stitches, and 3 x 1 stitch in every row from inwards. Make 1 more row without decreases and bind off the rest 13 stitches of shoulder at once. Make another half of the neck-hole in symmetry.

Right Front:

Cast on 40 stitches and make 2 rows of garter stitch. After that, work with stockinette stitch, making decreases from the left side for forming side chamfer in the same way as for the back. At the same time, at 61 cm height, start making the neck-hole from the right side. For this, decrease 1 stitch in every 2 rows. Make the arm-hole in the same way as for the back, but from the left side. At 21 cm height of arm-hole, bind off the rest stitches at once.

Left Front:

Make in symmetry to the right front.

Pockets:

Cast on 24 stitches and make 17 cm of stockinette stitch. Bind off stitches.

Assembly:

Make shoulder and side seams. Fasten all the edges with 1 row of single crochets with the help of a crochet hook. Sew pockets to both halves of the front. Sew the fur collar along the edge of the neck-hole.
