Crochet Sweater Pattern: Blue and Black Yarn Instructions


You’ll Need:
200 (225) 250 (275)g of blue yarn (37% sheep wool, 37% alpaca wool, 26% silk; 187m/25g);
200 (225) 250 (275)g of the same yarn, but in black color;
Crochet hook size 4.
Size:
S (M) L (XL).
Used Pattern
Long Loops:
1st row (RS): 1 chain stitch increase, 1 single crochet in every stitch of the previous row;
2nd row (WS): 1 chain stitch increase, 1 single crochet, 1 long loop in every stitch of the previous row, finish with 1 single crochet.
Repeat 1st-2nd rows.
Making Long Loop:
Make with the help of cardboard ruler 4 cm wide. Place ruler behind work. Insert crochet hook in stitch of the previous row, as if making single crochets, place yarn from down to up upon the crochet hook. Keep the yarn with the help of right hand fingers, twist the yarn around ruler. Draw both threads of the crochet hook through stitch of the previous row. Make 3 long loops on the crochet hook with the help of 1 yarn over.
Decrease Stitches:
In the beginning of the row: skip the decreased stitches of the previous row with the help of slip stitches; in the end of the row: leave decreased stitches open.
Stitch Control:
13 stitches x 14 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Back:
Make 62 (68) 72 (78) chain stitches + 1 chain stitch increase with crochet hook size 4 and work with loop pattern in straight and reversed directions. In 58 cm from the set-up chain, make 1 row of single crochets and finish your work.
Left Front:
Make 31 (34) 36 (39) chain stitches + 1 chain stitch increase with crochet hook size 4 and work with loop pattern in straight and reversed directions. In 49 cm from the set-up chain, decrease 3 (4) 5 (4) stitches, then, bind off 3 x 4 (4) 4 (5) stitches in every 2nd row = 16 (18) 19 (20) stitches. In 58 cm from the set-up chain, make 1 row of single crochets and finish your work.
Right Front:
Make in symmetry to the left front.
Sleeves:
Make 31 (34) 36 (39) chain stitches + 1 chain stitch increase with crochet hook size 4 and work with straight and reversed rows of loop pattern. Increase 1 x 1 stitch from both sides of the set-up chain for chamfers, then, 7 x 1 stitch in every 8th row in the 7th row from the set-up chain = 47 (50) 52 (55) stitches. In 48 (48) 50 (50) cm from the set-up chain, make 1 row of single crochets and finish your work. Make the second sleeve in the same way.
Assembly:
Make shoulder and side seams. Sew up the sleeves. Fasten neck-hole with 1 row of single crochets.
