You’ll Need:

950 (1050) 1150g of mélange blue Novum yarn (100% sheep wool; 60m/50g);

Straight and circular knitting needles 7;

Crochet hook 6;

4 buttons.

S (M) L.

Used Patterns

Main Pattern A

The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 4 + 1 + 4 chain stitches to increase. Work according to scheme 1.

Start with stitches before pattern repeat, follow with the pattern repeat, and finish with stitches after the pattern repeat. Make the 1st-3rd rows once, then repeat 2nd and 3rd rows, beginning from the 2nd row, making treble crochets behind arches of chain stitches from the previous row.

Main Pattern B

The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 4 + 1 + 4 chain stitches to increase. Work the same way as Main Pattern A, but use scheme 2.

Main Pattern C

The quantity of stitches is a multiple of 4 + 3 + 4 chain stitches to increase. Follow Main Pattern A, but finish with stitches after pattern repeat B.

Stockinette Stitch

In RS row – knit stitches, in WS row – purls;

2 x 2 Rib

Stitches Control:

Main Patterns A-C: 2 pattern repeats x 3 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Stockinette Stitch: 12 stitches x 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Rib: 15 stitches x 18 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Make 41 (45) 49 chain stitches + 4 chain stitches to increase and work with Main Pattern A = 10 (11) 12 pattern repeats. In 56.5 cm from the set-up row, decrease 1.5 pattern repeats from both sides for armholes. Work with Main Pattern B = 6 (7) 8 pattern repeats + ½ pattern repeat from both sides. In 76.5 (80) 83 cm from the set-up row, finish your work.

Left Front

Make 21 (23) 25 chain stitches + 4 chain stitches to increase and work with Main Pattern A (C) A = 5 (5 ½) 6 pattern repeats. Make the armhole from the right side in the same way as back. Work with Main Pattern B = 3 ½ pattern repeats (3 pattern repeats + ½ pattern repeats from both sides) 4 ½ pattern repeats. In 60 (63.5) 66.5 cm from the set-up row, decrease 1 pattern repeat (2 x ½ pattern repeat) 1 ½ pattern repeat from the left side for neck-hole = 2 ½ (2 + ½ pattern repeat from both sides) 2 + ½ pattern repeats from both sides. Finish your work at the height of the back.

Right Front

Make in symmetry to the left front.

Sleeves

Make 21 (25) 29 chain stitches + 4 chain stitches to increase and work with Main Pattern A = 5 (6) 7 pattern repeats. For sleeve chamfers, increase 1.5 pattern repeats from both sides over 8 rows. Work with Main Pattern B = 7 (8) 9 pattern repeats + ½ pattern repeats from both sides. In 36.5 cm from the set-up row, finish your work.

Assembly

Make shoulder and side seams. For the lower twist placket, cast on 106 (116) 126 stitches along the lower edge of the jacket and make 4 cm = 7 rows of stockinette stitch, then bind off all the stitches as purls in the WS row. For twisted plackets of the front, cast on 73 (77) 80 stitches and make 4 cm = 7 rows of stockinette stitch, binding off all stitches as purls in the WS row. For the collar, cast on 92 (92) 132 stitches along the neck-hole, including the placket, and work with ribbing between selvage stitches. In 13.5 cm from the beginning of the collar, bind off all stitches as they face. Sew up the sleeves and sew on the buttons.
