Complete Guide to Crochet Dress and Hat for 9-12 Months Baby

You’ll Need

150g of white 100% cotton yarn (392m/100g);

Crochet hook 1.2.

Size: 9-12 months.

Instructions

Dress

Start your work with the upper part of the dress from top to down. Make 162 chain sts (the length of the chain is about 50 cm), circle it in the ring. Make 9 rows of double crochets around.

Make 2 double crochets in every 2nd crochet in the 10th row. After that, make 17 cm of double crochets, then, make fringe according to the scheme.

Fold the detail in half, mark front and back. Leave 8 cm from each side from the center of the front and mark them. Make 1 row of double crochets between marks. Make straps of double crochets 3 cm = 10 double crochets wide and 20 cm long from both sides of the marks. At 18 cm height of the strap, decrease 1 crochet in every row. After that, leave 7.5 cm from both sides from the center of the back and make marks. Make 1 row of double crochets between marks. Make straps in the same way as for the front, but make decreases from the side part. Fasten neck-hole and edges of straps with 1 row of single crochets.

Hat

Start your work from the crown.

1st row: circle 7 chain sts in the ring;

2nd row: 14 single crochets in the center of the ring;

3rd row: 3 double crochets in every 2nd double crochet.

Continue work this way for 3 more rows, making 3 double crochets in the center of increases (in the 2nd crochet out of three) of the previous row. As a result, you should get 6 sectors. After that, increase 2 double crochets until the width of your hat is 15 cm. Then, crochet around without increases for 8 rows = 4 cm. After that, make fringe according to the scheme.

Not explained in traditional US pattern. Unable to understand. Please don't assume even long time crocheters understand the charts!
