Knitting a Beautiful Dress with Relief Waves and Crochet Flowers

You’ll Need:

100g of green and yellow colors (each) of yarn (50% viscose, 50% acryl; 440m/100g);

Knitting needles 2.5;

Crochet hook 2.

Size:

86-92 cm.

Used Patterns:

Relief waves: due to the scheme.

Rib with drawn stitch: 1^st row: * 1 knit stitch, 1 purl*; repeat from * to *;

2^nd row: 1 knit stitch, slip 1 stitch, yarn in front of work.

Stitches Control:

40 stitches x 32 stitches = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions:

Front:

Cast on 110 stitches with green yarn and work with relief waves pattern (1 selvage stitch, 6 pattern repeats of 18 stitches, 1 selvage stitch) for 16 rows. Turn to yellow yarn and make 12 rows with the same pattern, after that, alternate 12 green rows and 12 yellow rows with the same pattern, totally 64 rows. Make the next row due to the scheme, but without yarn over, decrease the quantity of stitches to 1/3 (108/3 + 2 + 2 selvage stitches) = 74 stitches. Continue work with rib with drawn stitch pattern with green yarn. In 20 rows, bind off 8 stitches from both sides for arm-holes and continue work with rib with drawn stitch pattern. In 34 rows from the beginning of arm-holes, bind off the central 12 stitches for neck-hole and continue work, decrease 1 x 3 stitches, 1 x 2 stitches and 2 x 1 stitch in every 2^nd row along the inner side of strap. Knit the rest 16 stitches for 18 rows. Bind off the stitches.

Back:

Make in the same way as front.

Assembly:

Make side and shoulder seams. Make 3 flowers due to scheme 1 with yellow yarn and crochet hook and 1 flower due to scheme 2 with green yarn.

Make 2 leaves.

1^st row: 7 chain stitches;

2^nd row: 1 chain stitch increase, 1 single crochet, 1 half double crochet, 1 double crochet, 1 treble crochet, 1 double crochet, 1 half crochet, 1 single crochet.

Headband:

Cast on 110 stitches with yellow yarn and work with rib with drawn stitch pattern for 16 rows. Bind off the stitches. Sew both ends. Sew flowers to the dress and headband.
