Used Patterns:
Italian Cast On with Relief Edge
Cast on half of the needed quantity of stitches with contrast yarn and make 1 row of knit stitches. Then, make 3 rows of stockinette stitch with working yarn.
Make 1 knit stitch from broaching after every stitch, which should be slipped as purl, yarn in front of work = double quantity of stitches minus 1 stitch. Then, make RS row in the following way: 1 selvage stitch, * 1 yarn over, 1 stitch from broaching, make knit2tog with the next stitch*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvage stitch. Make WS rows and yarn overs as purls. Take off contrast yarn.Stockinette Stitch:
In RS row – knit stitches, in WS row – purls;
Main Pattern:
Due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows and yarn overs as purls, crossed knit stitch – as crossed purl. Start with 1 selvage stitch and stitches before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with stitches after pattern repeat and 1 selvage stitch. Repeat 1st-48th rows.
Stitches Control:
17 stitches x 21 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions:
Back:
Cast on 42 stitches with contrast yarn and Italian method = 83 stitches. Then, make 4 rows of stockinette stitch. After that, work with the main pattern. In 37 cm from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 4 stitches and 2 x 2 stitches in every 2nd row from both sides = 67 stitches. In 56 cm from the set-up row (there are 35 stitches on the knitting needles), make 1 WS row with purls, make 1 knit stitch and 1 purl from 12 yarn overs of the last RS row = 47 stitches. Then, make 2 cm of stockinette stitch and bind off the stitches.
Front:
Make in the same way as back.
Sleeves:
Cast on 26 stitches with contrast yarn in Italian method = 51 stitches. Then, make 4 rows of stockinette stitch. After that, work with the main pattern. For sleeve chamfers, increase 6 x 1 stitch in every 14th row from both sides, include the increased stitches in stockinette stitch = 63 stitches. In 49 cm from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 7 stitches for sleeve caps from both sides = 49 stitches. Then, make 3rd-15th rows of the pattern, don’t make yarn overs before and after selvage stitches. In 56 cm from the set-up row, bind off the rest 19 stitches.
Assembly:
Make shoulder seams 8 cm wide; fasten the neck-hole with 1 row of “shrimp stitch”. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
