Knitting a Beautiful Lavender Crochet Sweater



You’ll Need
450 (550)g of lavender color yarn (80% cotton, 20% polyester; 85m/50g);
Knitting needles 10;
Long circular knitting needles 10;
Crochet hook 10.
Size: S (L).
Used Patterns
Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls.
Rhombs crochet pattern: work according to the scheme. Start with sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat, turn rows as stated.
Make 1st-7th rows once, then repeat 2nd-7th rows.
Stitches control: rhombs crochet pattern: 8 sts x 3 rows = 10 x 8 cm;
Stockinette stitch: 11 sts x 14 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Back and Front
Make 63 (75) chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work with the rhombs crochet pattern; for size S, make 3 treble crochets from both sides. In 32 (33) cm, divide your work for armholes and continue making back and front separately. For the front, work on outer 14 (17) sts, for the back – on central 35 (41) sts. In 52 (55) cm from the set-up row, work on all sts. In 60 (63) cm from the set-up row, finish your work.
Sleeves
Cast on 24 (26) sts for each sleeve and work with stockinette stitch between selvage sts. For sleeve chamfer, increase 11 (12) x 1 st in every 5th row from both sides. In 45 cm from the set-up row, bind off all sts.
Assembly
Fasten the bound-off edge and neck-hole placket with 1 row of single crochets. Cast on 215 (241) sts on outer parts of single crochets with circular knitting needles and make 10 cm with the rhombs crochet pattern; make 5 sts from corner sts in the 1st row, place markers. Increase 3 sts in the 3rd row inside marked sts, increase 5 sts in the 5th row. Bind off sts loosely. Sew up sleeves. Make sleeve seams.
