Crochet Sweater with Long Stitches

You’ll Need:

800g of yarn (50% wool, 50% acryl) in blue-green color;

Crochet hook 4.5;

1 button.

Size:

L.

Special Stitches

Long stitches: make initial chain + 1 chain stitch increase.

1^st row: single crochets;

2^nd row: 2 chain stitches increase, * insert crochet hook in the next stitch, put the working yarn above the first finger, put under second finger and catch it between the second and ring fingers, draw through single crochets.

Repeat these 2 rows.

Long stitches are formed on the WS of work.

Fancy patterns: due to the schemes 1 and 2.

Stitches Control:

14 stitches = 10 cm.

Note:

Work in 2 threads of yarn from up to down.

Back

Make 61 chain stitches (13 stitches for every shoulder and 35 stitches for neck-hole) and work according to the scheme 1. At 22 cm height, which is the 3^rd row of the scheme, make 6 chain stitches from both sides for arm-holes and continue work with the same pattern. At 72 cm height, cut the yarn.

Right Front

Make 31 chain stitches and work according to the scheme 1. At 22 cm height, which is the 3^rd row of the scheme, make 6 chain stitches from both sides for arm-holes and continue work with the same pattern. At 72 cm height, cut the yarn.

Left Front

Make in symmetry to the right front.

Sleeves

Make 57 chain stitches and work according to the scheme 2. Decrease 8 x 1 stitch after the 1^st selvage stitch in every 4^th row from both sides = 41 stitches. At 50 cm height, cut the yarn.

Collar

Make 70 chain stitches and work with long stitches. At 9 cm height, cut the yarn.

Assembly

Make seams and sew up the sleeves in the arm-holes. Fasten front and neck-hole with 1 row of single crochets. Sew the collar to the neck-hole line, leaving 3 cm open on each front. Fasten the front with 1 row of single crochets, making 3 buttons-loops (4 chain stitches, skip 2 stitches). Sew the buttons.
