Step-by-Step Guide to Crochet a Stylish Skirt with Gussets and Motifs

You'll Need

300g of 100% cotton yarn (750m/150g);

Crochet hook size 1.5;

5 buttons.

Instructions

This skirt is made with separate gussets, which are sewn afterwards. Decorate the bottom part with relief motifs.

Gussets

Make 8 identical details.

Make 20 chain stitches and work according to Scheme 1, completing rows 1 to 16.

Finish your work.

After creating 8 gussets, connect them together using Scheme 2 to form a one-piece circular cloth for the skirt.

Bottom Trimming

Create 24 motifs.

For each motif, create 12 chain stitches and connect them into a ring. Crochet around following rows 1 to 3 of Scheme 3. Attach the motifs together while crocheting the 3rd row. Secure the bottom part with arches of chain stitches.

Belt

Attach the yarn to the upper row of the skirt and crochet rows 1 to 4 according to Scheme 4. Finish your work. Secure one end of the belt using Scheme 5 and create a buttonhole. Fasten the opposite end with single crochets. Finally, sew on the buttons.
