RND 5: Ch 1, sc in ea dc and ea ch-1 space across, changing to MC in the last stitch, turn (115 sc)
RND 6: Ch 3, dc in ea sc across, turn (115 dc)
RND 7: Ch 3, dc in ea dc across, changing to Color B in the last stitch, turn (115 dc)
RND 8-12: Repeat Rounds 3-7, changing to Color A at end of Round 12.
Repeat Rounds 3-12, following established color sequence & alternating use of Colors A & B:
- 2 rows MC
- 3 rows Color A
- 2 rows MC

Repeat this color sequence until a total of 77 rows have been worked, ending with 3 rows Color A & 2 rows MC. At the end of the last row, do not fasten off MC.
Edging
RND 1: Continuing with MC, ch 1, sc evenly around entire piece so edging stays flat, placing 3 sc in each corner (approx. 114 sc along each side and end). Join with sl st, fasten off MC. Attach Color B, do not turn.
RND 2: Ch 1, sc in ea sc around, working 3 sc in each corner. Note: Before proceeding with lace border, be sure to have 121 sc along each short end of the piece. Join with sl st and fasten off Color B, do not turn.
Lace Border
With the right side facing you, attach Color A in the right-hand corner at one short end of the piece.
