Crochet Hook

Size G-6 (4.25 mm)

Instructions

To Change Colors

Work last stitch before color change to last step, with new color, yo and pull new color through remaining loops on hook. Drop unused color to wrong side. Do not work over unused color.

Joining with Single Crochet

When instructed to join with sc, begin with slip knot on hook, insert hook in stitch or space indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

Dishcloth Pattern

Row 1:

(Right Side) Ch 40, tr in 6th ch from hook, ch 1; working behind last tr made, tr in 4th skipped ch, * skip next 2 ch, tr in next ch, ch 1; working behind last tr made, tr in first skipped ch; repeat from * across ending with dc in last ch. (12 cross stitches and 2 dc)

Row 2:

Ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), turn; skip next 3 sts, tr in next tr (will be in a tr), ch 1, working behind last tr made, tr in 2nd skipped st, * skip next 2 sts, tr in next st, ch 1; working behind last tr made, tr in first skipped st; repeat from * across ending with dc in last dc (top of turning ch). Change color to Red in last stitch.

Row 3:

Ch 1, turn, sc in each st across. (38 sc) Change color to Yellow in last stitch.

Rows 4-5:

Repeat Row 2.

Row 6:

Repeat Row 3.

Rows 7-12:

Repeat Rows 4-6.

Rows 13-14:

Repeat Row 2.

At the end of Row 14, DO NOT FINISH OFF.

Edging

Round 1:

Ch 1, turn (right side facing), 3 sc in first dc, sc evenly around dishcloth working 3 sc in each corner; join with slip stitch to first sc. Finish off and weave in ends.
