Materials:Worsted Weight Cotton Yarn;
Gold (MC) - 2 ½ oz, 120 yd (70 g, 108 m);
White (CC) - 1 oz, 48 yd (28 g, 43 m);

Yarn Needle.

Crochet Hook:Size G-6 (4.00 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge.

Gauge: Rnds 1-2 = 3" across.

JOINING WITH SC

When instructed to join with sc, begin with sl knot on hook, insert hook in st or sp indicated, yo and pull up a loop, yo and draw through both loops on hook.

Special Stitches

Raised Triple Crochet (rtc): Yo twice, insert hook in front of work from right to left around next dc of 2 rows previous, yo, draw up a lp, (yo, draw through 2 lps) 3 times.

Note: When rtc is worked, do not work st directly behind rtc. Skip this st and work in the next st.

Rnd 2: Ch 3 (counts as first dc now and throughout), 3 dc in next ch-2 sp, (dc in next dc, 3 dc in next ch-2 sp) around; join with sl st to first dc. (32 dc) Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 3:With right side facing, join MC with sc to last dc of previous rnd, * rtc around next dc of Rnd 1, sc in next 3 sts; rep from * around omitting last sc; join with sl st to first sc. (32 sc, 8 rtc)
Rnd 4:Ch 4 (counts as dc, ch 1), (dc, ch 1) in each st around; join with sl st to first dc. (32 dc and ch-1 sps)
Rnd 5:Sl st in next ch-1 sp, ch 3, dc in same sp, 2 dc in each sp around; join with sl st to first dc. (64 dc) Finish off and weave in ends.
Rnd 6:With right side facing, join CC with sc to first dc of Rnd 5, (rtc around dc of 2 rows previous, sc in next st) around, omitting last sc; join with sl st to first sc. (64 sts)
