How to Make a Crochet Bag with Detailed Instructions


You’ll Need:
200g of half-woolen yarn in black color;
150g of the same yarn, but in light-grey color;
Crochet hooks 4 and 8;
Buck with 6 cm diameter in black color;
1 snapper;
Fabric for backing;
Thick cardboard.
Stitches Control
15 sts = 10 cm.
Instructions
Bottom
Make 36 chain sts with crochet hook 4 and black yarn and work with single crochets. At 11 cm height, finish your work.
Upper Detail
Crochet across. Make 40 chain sts with crochet hook 4 and black yarn and work with single crochets. Make 1 row with black yarn, then, alternate the color of yarn every 2 rows: light-grey, black. At 70 cm height, the last should be 1 black row instead of 2 rows, finish your work.
Decorative Strip
Make 9 chain sts with crochet hook 4 and light-grey yarn and work with single crochets. At 100 cm height, finish your work.
Handles
Make 2 handles. Make a cord by means of crochet hook 8 and black yarn in 4 threads 50 cm long.
Assembly
Sew decorative stripe, step back 6 cm from the upper edge, insert its end in the buck and fasten them. Roll up the upper edge for 3 cm and sew the handles. Make the bottom from backing fabric and upper detail, leave 1 cm for seams. Cut the detail the same size as bottom from cardboard. Sew the details of backing, insert the cardboard and sew backing to the bag. Sew the snappers from inwards in upper edge.

I'm confused about just what type of yarn this calls for. Is it wool, or yarn with some wool? The picture looks like it has three colors such as black, light grey and, white. But the pattern only calls for the two colors. It's a pretty bag either way. Thanks for the pattern.
