How to Crochet a Beautiful Mohair Sweater

You’ll Need:

700g of thick mohair yarn with lurex in white color;

50g of 100% cotton fancy colored yarn with long nap;

Crochet hook 5.

Size:

one size.

Special Stitches

Long Stitches:

Cut a piece of cardboard 3 * 20 cm, make a chain of the needed length and make the 1^st row (WS): 1 yarn over on the crochet hook, twist the cardboard with the main yarn and leave yarn on the crochet hook, insert the crochet hook in chain sts of the set-up chain (or lower row), draw the yarn and crochet these 3 sts together. Take off the cardboard;

2^nd row: single crochets.

Repeat these 2 rows.

Fancy Pattern:

Work according to scheme 1;

Rib:

Work according to scheme 2.

Stitches Control:

16 sts of the pattern = 10 cm;

15 sts of rib = 10 cm.

Instructions

Back and Front with Part of Sleeves:

Make as one-piece detail, start with upper edge. Make 158 chain sts with mohair yarn and work according to scheme 1. At a total height of 26 cm, finish your work.

Make front and front parts of sleeves in the same way as back and back parts of sleeves.

Collar:

Make 102 chain sts and work according to scheme 2. At a total height of 16 cm, finish your work.

Assembly:

Sew 33 cm of each sleeve and shoulder, leave 34 cm for the neck-hole. Make a seam on the collar and sew it to the neck-hole line. Fasten the lower edge and sleeves with 2 rows of single crochets with fancy yarn and 3 rows of long sts: 1 row with mohair yarn, 1 row with fancy yarn, and 1 row with mohair yarn.
