Materials Needed

You'll need:

  • 550g of Kamteks Alliance yarn
  • Knitting needles 2.5 and 4
  • 2 markers

Instructions

Cast on 391 sts with knitting needles 4. Allocate the sts in the following way:

  • 3 selvedge sts (are always knit st)
  • 12 sts before pattern repeat
  • 30 pattern repeats
  • 13 sts after pattern repeat
  • 3 selvedge sts

Row Instructions

1st row: knit sts, using knitting needles 2.5.

Starting from the 3rd row, knit according to the scheme from 1 to 28th row.

29th-40th rows: make according to the ornament (schemes 2a and 2b).

Short Row Technique

Then, knit with shortened rows as follows:

  • 3 selvedge sts
  • 180 knit sts
  • Marker
  • 25 central sts of the 1st row of scheme 2a
  • Marker
  • 5 knit sts

Wind the knitting needle with yarn, turn your work and make the following combination: 30 purls, 5 purls, turn your work. Continue working in a similar way, increasing right-side rows on 5 sts. Yarn over, which is made by winding the yarn around the knitting needle, should be knit together with the 1st st from the needed 5 sts.

Knit until there are no sts left. You can use even selvedge sts in work. Then, make 4 right-side rows more, and bind off the sts.
