How to Knit with Kamteks Alliance Yarn: A Step-by-Step Guide


Materials Needed
You'll need:
- 550g of Kamteks Alliance yarn
- Knitting needles 2.5 and 4
- 2 markers
Instructions
Cast on 391 sts with knitting needles 4. Allocate the sts in the following way:
- 3 selvedge sts (are always knit st)
- 12 sts before pattern repeat
- 30 pattern repeats
- 13 sts after pattern repeat
- 3 selvedge sts
Row Instructions
1st row: knit sts, using knitting needles 2.5.
Starting from the 3rd row, knit according to the scheme from 1 to 28th row.
29th-40th rows: make according to the ornament (schemes 2a and 2b).
Short Row Technique
Then, knit with shortened rows as follows:
- 3 selvedge sts
- 180 knit sts
- Marker
- 25 central sts of the 1st row of scheme 2a
- Marker
- 5 knit sts
Wind the knitting needle with yarn, turn your work and make the following combination: 30 purls, 5 purls, turn your work. Continue working in a similar way, increasing right-side rows on 5 sts. Yarn over, which is made by winding the yarn around the knitting needle, should be knit together with the 1st st from the needed 5 sts.
Knit until there are no sts left. You can use even selvedge sts in work. Then, make 4 right-side rows more, and bind off the sts.
