How to Knit a Stylish Glove with Relief Patterns

You’ll Need:
150g of yarn (75% wool, 25% linen; 150m/50g);
Double-pointed knitting needles 2.75;
Pins.
Used Patterns
Stockinette stitch: in circle rows – all knit stitches;
Relief pattern: due to the scheme. In WS rows – purls. Repeat the pattern from 1st to 4th rows.
Stitches Control
Stockinette stitch: 17 stitches x 25 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Cast on 15 stitches and make the relief pattern. The first and last stitches are selvedge stitches. After 52 rows (21 cm), bind off the stitches. Fold the obtained stripe in half and sew along the short side. Lift 52 stitches with four knitting needles and turn to knitting in the round. Pay attention that the relief stripe is located on two needles – 7 stitches on the 1st needle and 6 stitches on the 2nd needle.
Work according to the following description:
- 1st needle – 3 knit stitches, 7 stitches according to the scheme;
- 2nd needle – 6 stitches according to the scheme, 7 knit stitches;
- 3rd needle – 13 knit stitches;
- 4th needle – 13 knit stitches.
Make decreases four times for narrowing: knit two together in every 8th row once – the first two stitches for the 1st and 3rd needles and the last two stitches for the 2nd and 4th needles.
In 22 rows (9 cm) from the row with the last decrease, increase 1 stitch four times in the beginning of the 1st and at the end of the 4th needles for the thumb, and then 1 stitch three times in every 3rd row. Leave 14 stitches for the thumb, placing them on two pins – 7 stitches on each pin. Knit the remaining stitches.
After making 5 rows (2 cm) from the stitches of the thumb, leave 8 stitches for the small finger. In the next row, leave 8 stitches for the ring finger. In the following row, leave 10 stitches for the middle finger. In the next row, leave 10 stitches for the first finger. Knit each finger on three needles. Increase from transversal thread: 2 stitches for the small finger, 4 stitches for the ring finger, 2 stitches for the first and middle fingers.
Make the needed height for each finger: 16 rows for the small finger, 19 rows for the first and ring fingers, 21 rows for the middle finger, and 15 rows for the thumb. Bind off the stitches by means of knit two together.
Make the second glove as a mirror reflection of the first.
