Crochet hook 4.

Used Patterns

Main Pattern A

Main Pattern B

The quantity of stitches is multiple of 12 + 1. Proceed similarly to main pattern A, but according to scheme 2. Make 1st-7th rows once, then repeat 2nd-7th rows.

Edge with Picot

Start every round with 1 chain stitch increase instead of the 1st single crochet and finish with 1 slip stitch in chain stitch increase.

  • 1st round: single crochets;
  • 2nd round: * 1 single crochet, skip 1 single crochet of the previous row with the help of 1 picot*; repeat from * to *.

Pattern for Basque

The quantity of stitches is multiple of 8. Work with rounds according to scheme 3.

Start every round with 3 chain stitches increase instead of the 1st double crochet, pattern repeat, and finish with stitches after pattern repeat or before the beginning of the new round by making 1 slip stitch in the top chain stitch increase. Make 1st-8th rounds once, then repeat 2nd-8th rounds.

Stitches Control

Main patterns A + B: 17 stitches x 8 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Basque pattern: 15.5 stitches x 8.5 rounds = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Make 77 (97) chain stitches + 3 chain stitches increase and create 1.5 cm = 1 row of double crochets. Then, continue with the main pattern A (B) = 6 (7) pattern repeats + initial and final stitches. At 24 cm = 19 rows (25 cm = 20 rows) from the set-up row, leave 3.5 cm = ½ pattern repeat open from both sides for armholes = 5 (6) pattern repeats + initial and final stitches. At 33 cm = 26 rows (36.5 cm = 29 rows) from the set-up row, leave the central 18 (21) cm and finish each side separately = 1 pattern repeat + initial and final stitches for each side. At 43 cm = 34 rows (46.5 cm = 37 rows) from the set-up row, finish your work.

Front

Make in the same way as back.

Sleeves

First, make shoulder seams. Fasten the edges of armholes with the main pattern A (B), making 5 pattern repeats + initial and final stitches in the 1st row. At 4 cm = 3 rows, decrease ½ pattern repeat from both sides for sleeve chamfers for the next 10 cm = 8 rows = 4 pattern repeats + initial and final stitches. At 22.5 cm = 18 rows height of the sleeve, finish your work.

Assembly

Make side seams. Fasten neck-hole with 2 rounds of picots. Make basque along the initial edge of front and back, using the pattern for basque. Increase 22 stitches in the 1st round = 176 (216) stitches.

Note: At first, the basque is the same size as the upper part of the pullover.

At 17.5 cm = 15 rounds height of basque, finish your work by making 1 round of half double crochets.

Finally, make lower sleeve seams.
