How to Crochet a Stylish Cap with Visor


Yarn and Materials Needed
You’ll need:
- 30g of yellow yarn Magic «Super Excellence» (49% wool, 51% acrylic; 228m/100g);
- About 5g of the same yarn, but in light-yellow color;
- Crochet hook 2.5.
Specifications
Head circumference: 48 cm.
Stitches control: 18 double crochets x 11 rows = 10 x 10 cm with fillet pattern.
Instructions
Make 4 chain stitches, then slip stitch.
1st Row: 3 chain stitches increase, 11 double crochets in the ring, then slip stitch.
2nd Row: 3 chain stitches increase, 17 double crochets in the double crochets of the lower row, then slip stitch.
Make 5 rows of double crochets, making increases of 6 double crochets in every row for a total of 48 stitches.
Then, make 10 rows with the fillet pattern according to the scheme, totaling 42 stitches.
Visor
Make 1 row of single crochets.
Make 5 rows of single crochets on the central 30 stitches.
For creating the visor round, leave unfinished 3 single crochets from both sides in the 6th row from the beginning of the visor, then in every subsequent row decrease by 2 x 3 single crochets, totaling 12 single crochets.
Now, make the second bottom part of your visor, making stitch increases in symmetry for a total of 30 stitches.
Finish work in the 16th row.
Assembly
Cut a visor template from thick cardboard, insert it into your work, and fasten the edge with 1 row of single crochets. Make a flower from light-yellow yarn according to the scheme and sew it onto the cap.
