You’ll Need:

100% cotton yarn (530 m/100g);

Crochet hook 1.25.

Head Circumference

53-54 см.

Instructions

Bottom and Base

Make 8 chain stitches for the bottom and continue to work according to the schematic, where double crochets and chain stitches are indicated.

After finishing the schematic, continue increasing the bottom diameter – make 2 double crochets in the 1st crochet of the previous row, then 1 double crochet, and 2 stitches above chain stitches.

You should achieve 12 crochets in the motif between chain stitches.

Then, make 14 rows according to the second schematic, displacing the pattern by 1 stitch – start with 2 double crochets in the 1st crochet, and do not crochet the edging stitch. This will leave you with 12 crochets and 2 chain stitches between motifs.

Make 4 rows of fastening using half double crochets.

Visor

Next, let’s create the visor using half double crochets according to the schematic and with 2 threads of yarn.

You can make a larger visor by adding an extra row.

After completing the 9th and 10th rows, repeat these rows one additional time. After that, repeat the 9th and 10th rows once again, but with some modifications – make additional increases in the 9th row: * 2 half double crochets in 1 stitch, then 5 half double crochets* x 4 times from each side. Finally, complete the visor with the 12th row.

Assembly

Attach the visor to the base using single crochets.

Then, create hearts according to the schematic below and sew them onto the cap.

After that, fasten the visor with 2 threads of yarn using the forward needle seam, alternating colors.

Finish the inward seam and weave in all ends.

To complete the project, fasten the bottom of the cap with half double crochets using red yarn.

I was wondering if you have an adult size pattern for this cap? Thanks in advance.
