DIY Crochet Pillow and Plaid with Boston Yarn



You’ll Need for the Pillow
250g of orange Boston yarn (70% polyacryl, 30% sheep wool; 55m/50g);
100g of the same yarn, but in white color;
100g of the same yarn, but in brown color;
Crochet hook 8;
Pillow 40 x 40 cm.
Instructions for Making the Pillow
Make 44 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work with straight and reversed rows according to the scheme for the plaid.
For the second half, make 21 rows in the same color order and finish with the 5th row of the scheme = 44 rows. Connect both side seams and bottom edge with single crochets using orange yarn, leaving a 20 cm hole. While making the central 20 cm, insert the crochet hook only in front loops. Put the cover on the pillow and sew the hole.
Plaid Details
You’ll Need for the Plaid:
2000g of white Boston yarn (70% polyacryl, 30% sheep wool; 55m/50g);
150g of the same yarn, but in orange color;
150g of the same yarn, but in brown color;
Crochet hook 8.
Size of the Plaid
150 x 195 cm.
Instructions for Making the Plaid
Make 152 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase with white yarn and work with straight and reversed rows according to the scheme. Start every row with 3 chain sts increase instead of the 1st double crochet and sts before the pattern repeat, with 35 pattern repeats, finishing as stated. Repeat the 3rd-4th rows x 50 times after finishing the 4th row = 104 rows. Make the 9th, 10th (15th and 16th, 21st and 22nd) rows with orange yarn, and the 83rd, 84th, 89th, 90th, and 96th rows with brown yarn. Finish with the 5th row of the pattern. Fasten both sides with single crochets, the bottom edge according to the scheme.
