How to Crochet a Beautiful Bottle Cover

You’ll Need

About 100g of mélange jeans yarn (100% wool; 35m/50g);

Crochet hook 12;

Bottle;

1 needle with a big eye.

40 cm diameter, 54 cm height.

Note

Make fastening with half crochets around, starting from the neck to down. Then, crochet the base part. Start every circle row with 2 chain stitches for the 1^st half crochet and finish with 1 slip stitch from the upper chain stitch.

Instructions

Make 16 chain stitches and circle them in a ring with 1 slip stitch.

1^st row: 16 half crochets around;

2^nd row: 2 half crochets from every 2^nd half crochet (24 stitches);

3^rd and 4^th rows: without increases;

5^th row: 3 half crochets from every 2^nd half crochet (32 stitches);

6^th-7^th rows: without increases;

8^th row: 2 half crochets from every 4^th half crochet (40 stitches);

9^th row: without increases;

10^th row: 2 half crochets from every 3^rd half crochet (53 stitches);

11^th-19^th rows: without increases.

Put the cover on the bottle and place your bottle in the bucket neck down to create the base. Starting from the 20^th row, begin making decreases by working 2 half crochets together continuously.

20^th row: work every 4^th and 5^th half crochet together (43 stitches);

21^st and 22^nd rows: without decreases;

23^rd row: work every 4^th and 5^th half crochet together (35 stitches);

24^th row: work every 3^rd and 4^th half crochet together (27 stitches);

26^th row: work every 2^nd and 3^rd half crochet together (18 stitches);

27^th row: work 2 half crochets together (9 stitches);

28^th row: work every 2 half crochets together (5 stitches).

Tighten the last half crochets and sew the edges together.
