How to Create a Heart-Shaped Pillow Using Yarn

You’ll Need:

100g of turquoise Bamboo fine yarn (100% bamboo; 440m/100g);

50g of red Camelia (100% cotton; 395m/100g);

Odds of white yarn;

Crochet hooks 1 and 2.5;

Fabric for pillow;

Stuffing.

Instructions

Make 6 elements according to Scheme 1, connecting them with one another while making the last row.

The order of motifs connection is illustrated in the drawing. Start by making the 1^st, 3^rd, and 5^th motifs, then join the 2^nd and 4^th motifs. Create 2 chain stitches where the arches connect, then make a single crochet in the center of the arch of another motif, followed by 2 chain stitches. Join the 2^nd motif to the 1^st and 3^rd motifs as shown in Scheme 1, and attach the 4^th motif in the same manner as the 2^nd.

Connect the 6^th motif with the previously made motifs while fastening it.

Fasten the resulting heart-shaped detail with red yarn as follows:

• 1^st Row:

  Arches of 3 chain stitches;

• 2^nd Row:

  Arches of 4 chain stitches, joining them to the arches of the previous row with single crochets;

• 3^rd Row:

  Double crochet in every arch of the previous row, with 2 chain stitches between double crochets;

• 4^th Row:

  * 1 double crochet, 1 chain stitch.*

After completing the rows, create 6 small flowers according to Scheme 2 using red yarn and 2 larger flowers according to Scheme 3 and Scheme 4. Sew them to the detail as shown in the accompanying photo.

Assembly

Make 2 details in the shape of a heart. Sew the two details together. Finally, place the cover on the pillow.
