Persian Relief Pattern

The quantity of stitches should be multiple of 4 + 2 selvage stitches. Start and finish every row with 1 selvage stitch.

1st row: purl;

2nd row: * (1 knit stitch, 1 purl, 1 knit stitch) from next stitch, purl 3 together *; repeat from * to *;

3rd row: purl;

4th row: * purl 3 together, (1 knit stitch, 1 purl, 1 knit stitch) from next stitch *; repeat from * to *.

Repeat 1st to 4th rows.

Relief Pattern with Circle Rows

The quantity of stitches should be multiple of 12. Work according to the scheme, where only odd circle rows are stated. Make all stitches and yarn overs as knit stitches in even rows. Repeat 1st to 10th rows twice.

Garter Stitch with Circle Rows

* 1 circle row of knit stitches, 1 circle row of purls *.

Structured Pattern for Yoke Placket

The quantity of stitches in the 6th circle row should be multiple of 6:

1st to 4th rows: garter stitch;

5th row: knit;

6th row: *knit 2 together, 1 yarn over, 4 knit stitches *; repeat from * to *;

7th to 19th rows: garter stitch.

Stitches Control:

28.5 stitches x 29.5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back

Cast on 130 (142) 154 stitches and make 1 WS row of knit stitches. Then, work with Persian relief pattern. At the same time, increase 12 x 1 stitch from both sides in every 6th row for side chamfers, starting from the set-up row = 154 (166) 178 stitches. In 44 cm = 130 rows from the set-up row, transfer all stitches to the auxiliary needle.

Front

Make in the same way as back.

Sleeves

Cast on 62 (70) 78 stitches and make 1 WS row of knit stitches. Then, work with Persian relief pattern. For chamfers, increase 1 x 1 stitch from both sides in 15 cm = 44 rows from the set-up row, then, 7 x 1 stitch in every 6th row (9 x 1 stitch in every 4th and 6th rows by turn) 11 x 1 stitch in every 4th row, include the increased stitches in pattern = 78 (90) 102 stitches. In 31 cm = 92 rows from the set-up row, bind off stitches.

Assembly

For relief yoke, transfer the previously left 154 (166) 178 stitches of front and back and work on all 308 (332) 356 stitches for 0.5 cm = 2 circle rows of purls. Then, work with structured pattern for yoke by means of making every 11th and 12th stitches as knit 2 together = 180 (192) 198 stitches. Make side and sleeve seams.
