Relief pattern: the quantity of stitches is a multiple of 13.
Odd Circle Rows:
*1 knit stitch, 1 yarn over, 4 knit stitches, knit two together, knit two together to the left (slip 1 knit stitch, 1 knit stitch, draw it through the slipped stitch), 4 knit stitches, 1 yarn over*; repeat from * to *.Even Circle Rows:
knit stitches.Wrong-Side Pattern (Circle Rows):
*1 circle row of purls, 1 circle row of knit stitches*; repeat from * to *.Stitches Control:
22.5 stitches x 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm.Note:
work as one-piece cloth with circle rows. Make decreases at the end of the round yoke, which are shown on the pattern design as sleeve/shoulder rounding.Instructions:
Cast on 208 (234) stitches (= 104 (117) stitches for front and back (each)), circle them in the ring and make 1 circle row of purls. Don’t take this row into account. Continue work with relief pattern. It’s recommended to mark the 1st and the 105th (108th) stitch of the circle row, as they form side lines. In 38 cm = 88 circle rows from the set-up row, divide your work into front and back and bind off 21 stitches from both sides for armholes (= marked stitches of side lines and 10 stitches from both sides of these stitches). Cast on 60 stitches in the next circle row for sleeves instead of the previously bound off stitches and include them in the pattern = 286 (312) stitches.
Continue work according to the pattern with circle rows, making the newly cast on stitches as purls in the 1st circle row. For volume reduction, don’t make yarn overs in 54 cm = 124 rows (56.6 cm = 130 rows) from the set-up row x 3 times in every odd circle row, which corresponds to 44 (48) decreased stitches in every circle row of decreases = 154 (168) stitches.
In 56.6 cm = 130 rows (59 cm = 136 rows) from the set-up row, continue work with wrong-side pattern for neck-hole placket. At 2 cm = 9 rows width of the placket, bind off all the stitches as knit stitches.
